Excursions in Kansas City

Explore the many attractions of “the City of Fountains” prior to Triennial with these optional adventures. Spots for each can be reserved when you register. Most excursions will happen during the morning or day on Thursday, July 28, so plan to arrive in Kansas City Wednesday night to be prepared.

Please note: The Royals Baseball Game is on Wednesday, July 27.

You may select one excursion for Thursday, however if you return early and wish to explore the area you can venture out on your own. The Crown Center Plaza is within walking distance and is home to the Legoland Discovery Center, Sea Life Aquarium, Hallmark Visitor Center, restaurants, shops, and more. Also, close by is the historic Union Station featuring shops, restaurants, a planetarium, and interactive science center.
