Prayer and Fitness

Prayer S.P.A. (Spiritual Practice Area) | Terrace

Each morning before worship pick up a cup of coffee from your room or Starbucks and join us in the Prayer S.P.A. for a few moments of quiet with God before your big day begins. There will be a trained spiritual director in the space to offer any needed guidance for any of the stations.

The Prayer S.P.A. is open 24 hours a day. If you need a space to pull away from the crowd feel free to drop in and enjoy the Spiritual Practices stations on your own anytime. For guided times come during the learning experiences.

Leading corporately one of the Prayer S.P.A. stations. Lectio combined with Bible art.

Prayer S.P.A.: Make your Own
Learn how to create your own prayer spa in your own home as well as your Church home.

While exercising you will learn the 5 components of a successful exercise plan, how to increase your metabolism, how hard to workout and much more. This upbeat workout includes Christian music and inspirational messages. Modifications shown so all fitness levels can participate.

ReThink Fitness (LE10)
If you want to make lasting, healthy changes it starts with your thoughts. See how God’s word can help you finally break free from fitness frustration and move towards life to the fullest. The ABCs of fitness have helped thousands of people on their journey to better health.

Outdoor Body Weight Workout
We often skip our workout because we don’t have time to get to a gym. Learn how you can get an amazing workout right in your own home using only your body weight. You will also learn the proper form needed to help you avoid injury during your workouts. Modifications shown so all fitness levels can participate.

Fun Run! (Group Photo at 6:25am)
Come out bright and early Saturday morning and enjoy a beautiful 5K or 3.1 mile run, jog or walk through downtown Kansas City.Ā  Money raised through the Fun Run will benefit the girls school built by ā€œEducate the Girlsā€ funds previously raised by Women Ministries! $20, includes T-shirt

Healthy Cooking for a Busy Lifestyle (LE109)
We hear about so many diets that promise weight loss but are they actually healthy? Come and learn the truth about healthy eating. In addition, you will receive cooking tips that could save you hours in the kitchen and drastically cut your food bill costs.

2:45-5pm

Power Stretch (similar to Yoga)
Our health plans often include exercise and diet but few address the adverse effects of stress. New studies show that anger, impatience and stress are stronger precursors to heart disease than smoking, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. While strengthening and stretching your body, you will be guided through scriptures to help you learn to minimize the stress in your life. Modifications shown so all fitness levels can participate.

PAZAZ
PAZAZ is similar to Zumba with Christian music and easy to follow cardio/dance moves. This is a workout you don’t want to miss. You will be having so much fun you will forget you are exercising. The music and moves will have you sweating and worshiping all at the same time. We will finish up the workout with core and stretch. Modifications shown so all fitness levels can participate
